The Secret to Manifesting

If there is only one thing you learn about manifesting, understand how important it is to visualize your goals.

IF YOU CANNOT SEE IT IN YOUR MIND, YOU CANNOT BRING IT ABOUT IN YOUR LIFE.

When something is held in our conscious mind, we make more of an effort to look for and seize opportunities as they occur. There are a number of terms for this one often used is self-fulfilling prophecy. A self-fulfilling prophecy is an event that you bring about yourself. This term tends to have a negative connotation. An example of this: “I worry about money, so I feel bad. In order to feel better I go shopping and put it on my credit card. I don’t worry about it, but then I feel even worse when the bill comes the following month, and I realize I have even more money issues now.”
People with body or weight issues may create a similar effect. “I feel bad about my body, so I eat for comfort. Then I feel even worse when I look in the mirror.”

There can be a positive side to self-fulfilling prophecies and this is where positive thinking comes in. If I have a goal to run a marathon, I need to first believe I can do it. Not think I can, but know I can. I visualize crossing the finish line. I imagine how much my muscles hurt, but how great I feel and what an accomplishment it is. I’m tired, I’m sweaty, I hurt and yet I feel like I can conquer anything. I visualize every little detail: smells, sensations, sights, sounds, even tastes. Now that I’ve created my outcome, I work backwards to plan it out, and then start at the beginning.

The same is true for any goal; From writing a book to graduating from med school to losing 10 lbs.

INSTEAD OF THINKING YOU CAN DO SOMETHING, YOU NEED TO KNOW YOU CAN DO IT.

I know that 2 + 2=4. I don’t think it. Thinking implies that you have a small bit (whether it is conscious or not) of doubt. If you have to think about something, it means there are negatives and positives to consider. You don’t have to consider anything when you know it.

So you set your goal and 100% believe you can achieve it. Now look at what you have to do to get there. Create a success plan, one step at a time.

Creating the life you want is a matter of knowing what you ultimately want your life to look like, and then setting your goals accordingly. Sometimes life puts up roadblocks, but it’s just a matter of taking out the map and creating a detour.

It’s never too late to take a step back and look at where you are in your life, compared to where you want to be. Not everyone can do this on their own. Some need support and the occasional push from another person who wants them to fully succeed.

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” George Eliot.
